December/January Xplosion eXamination - Triple Threat Matches, Bobby Roode vs. Magnus

Hello TNA fans, and welcome back to the latest edition of Xplosion eXamination! In this article, I examine all of the Xplosion matches uploaded on TNA’s official YouTube channel. I typically post these once a month, but due to lack of videos and writing, I combined the videos posted in December and January. Below each match breakdown, I have posted the match clip for you to watch!

Manik def. Tigre Uno12/5/14

Nearly nine months later, Manik was able to avenge his loss to Tigre Uno from Lockdown earlier this year. This match wasn't nearly as good though. These two X-Division stars are very talented and they did put on a good match, but I think there could've been more "X-Division action" throughout the entire match, rather than just the end. I really have grown to like Manik since he joined James Storm's Revolution and was glad to see him pick up the win.

Crazzy Steve def. Robbie E (1/9/15)

I'll admit, I rolled my eyes when I saw this was the latest match uploaded. How many times have we seen someone from The Menagerie up against someone from The BroMans?! But Steve and Robbie E proved me wrong this time. Of course there was plenty of comedy spots, but the match actually wasn't the bad. I think Crazzy Steve is talented, but I'm not sure if we'll see him break out to be anything bigger than the midcard. Steve hit a DDT to pick up the win.

Bobby Roode def. Magnus (1/13/15)

Yes, you read that right! Former World Champions Bobby Roode and Magnus went one-on-one on this edition of Xplosion. The match started right off the bat with Magnus throwing a punch before Roode could take off his coat. They went back and forth during the eight minutes they had and really put on a solid match. Roode managed to hit the Roode Bomb for the win. This was a great match considering it was on Xplosion.

Eric Young def. James Storm and Gunner (1/20/15)

This week's match was even bigger than the last! I knew we were in for a treat when these three men were set to battle in a three way match. I'm not sure when these "big" matches were taped, but I'm loving it. Everyone worked hard in this match. We saw Storm and Gunner clashing once again following their feud in 2014. We saw EY and Gunner face off in a battle of the babyfaces. Young and Gunner had some cool spots here and there. EY picked up the win following an elbow drop from the top rope. Check this match out below:

Taryn Terrell def. Angelina Love and Madison Rayne(1/27/15)

This week, three Knockouts went to battle in the six-sided ring. For the last few matches, Angelina Love had been handling the ring announcing duties, so it was odd for her to announce her own entrance. This was obviously a good back and forth match between the three talented women. Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell picked up the win after pinning Love. Terrell is impressing me more and more each time I see her in the ring. She is on fire right now and I can't wait to see what's next for her as the Knockouts Champion.
