Monday's Weekly "What?!" Moments

Welcome to a new weekly segment here at Wrestling News World that I call the Weekly "What?!" moments! They're moments that make you excited, confused, furious, or anything in between. Hope you enjoy it and be sure to comment with any "What!?" moments I missed.

shane on Raw

-How is Shane even walking after Sunday?! He was moving slow and rocking one helluva shiner, but he's moving and that's more than I expected!

-So after everything that Vince said, he's putting Shane in control of Raw? Seems like the lazy way out doesn't it?

-League of Nations Brogue Kicked Wade Barrett out of the League of Booty because he was "the weak link lately" even though he's almost never in the match and always the team's manager? Makes as much sense as the Cowboys blaming their cheerleaders for not making the playoffs

-Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family come out and attack the (now 3-man) League of Nations. I guess they were big fans of Wade Barrett!

-Apollo Crews debuted on Raw! He quickly beat another former NXTer, Tyler Breeze. Poor Tyler Breeze.

-Roman Reigns came out to a very warm reception from the Post-WrestleMania WWE Universe. It was warm because everyone had out their pitchforks and torches. Though, it certainly seems like Roman has embraced his role of being the guy who is being shoved down people's throats. He came out with a "yeah what are you gonna do?" attitude. It's not his fault, he deserves to be Champion, but he's not what people want right now.

-Shane announces a #1 Contender Fatal Four Way between 4 of the best workers in the company? Someone's been listening to their audience.

-Dolph Ziggler took on recently debuted Baron Corbin. Poor Dolph Ziggler, he's like the welcoming gift NXT Stars get when their called up. "Hey welcome to the main roster! The locker room is over there, catering is available between 7-10 pm, and we are putting you over Dolph Ziggler as a special way to say welcome to WWE."

-Zack Ryder was coaxed into putting his In Intercontinental Championship on the line against The Miz and lost. I mean why wouldn't they do that, it's not like Zack Ryder winning the title was universally acknowledged as the feel good moment of WrestleMania. It's not like the entire Raw audience was chanting "You deserve this!" Oh wait! To top the whole thing off, why wasn't it a Disqualification when Zack's Dad hit the Miz? Because REASONS that's why!

-Charlotte and the entire Women's division went to the ring to address/crown the new Women's Champion(ship.) Charlotte cut a very nice, well-delivered promo about women's wrestling. It was kind, well spoken, and at a normal volume. She then immediately started yelling like a robot again as soon as she started cutting the heel portion of her promo. I guess she thinks all bad guys are partially deaf?

-Becky Lynch had one helluva shiner from last night's match. These women went out and gave it everything. #NothingButRespect

becky shiner

-The whole crowd chanted relentlessly for Bayley all through Charlotte's speech. Instead, we got Natala cutting a promo on Charlotte. Nothing away from Natty, but this was a huge missed opportunity.

-The Usos vs. The Dudley Boyz again...because everyone is so deeply invested in this rivalry.

-The timekeeper rang the bell, and Lillian called the end of the match early when the Usos put themselves through tables. Guess they forgot that wrestlers have to be put through a table by their opponent. Bubba Ray was visibly and vocally furious by the early finish.

-Badabing Badaboom Realest guys in the room! Enzo and Cass debuted and cut a great, very non-politically correct, promo on The Dudley Boyz. (And people say PG can't be fun.) The whole crowd was electric for these guys and you can't teach that!

-Kevin Owens attacked Sami Zayn and took him out of the Fatal Four Way so we were left with an open spot, which was filled by....CESARO!

-The main event for the #1 Contender spot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the 4 men in the match were Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles...let that sink in for a minute.

-Double Powerbomb Superplex...Bravo lads

-The new #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is AJ FREAKIN STYLES!

-There was NO John Cena, NO Dean Ambrose, NO Brock Lesnar, NO Undertaker, NO Triple H, NO Stephanie McMahon
