Mr. Fuji

- Harry Fujiwara, better known as WWE Hall of Famer Mr. Fuji, died this morning at the age of 82. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Fuji was a five-time WWE World Tag Team Champion, known for throwing salt into the eyes of his opponents. After retiring from the ring, he managed George “The Animal” Steele, Kamala, Demolition, Yokozuna, The Powers of Pain, Killer Khan and of course, “Magnificent” Don Muraco.

Mr. Fuji was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on March 31, 2007 by Muraco. At the time of his induction, Fuji was in a wheelchair due to nine operations on his knee.

WWE.com broke the unfortunate news at this link.

- We’ll emphasize once again that WNW Premium is about to see a huge expansion and with that expansion is going to come new price points. You can lock in your rate now at the SIGNUP or RENEWAL page. Also, keep in mind the $4.95/month package for 18 months is still there - don’t miss out!

- Tomorrow night’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw will emanate from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and broadcast live on the USA Network. By far the most newsworthy item on the show will be the crowning of a new WWE Universal Champion after Finn Balor was forced to relinquish the title due to a torn labrum. The title match will be Roman Reigns vs. Big Cass vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens. Other promotional points for Raw are as follows:

  • What team will Gallows & Anderson target next?
  • Is Bayley poised to wrap her arms around the WWE Women’s Championship?
  • Can Braun Strowman be stopped?

- Paige VanZantspoke withSports Illustrated prior to knocking out Bec Rawlings via switch kick and punches at UFC on Fox 21 Saturday night. In it, she discussed WWE having interest in her:

“We heard a little bit from them,” VanZant said. “They’re someone I’d love to partner with and work with, they’re a great organization. I’m a huge fan of WWE, and I definitely want to keep them close. Eventually, it’s still something I would love to do.”

VanZant is high on the WWE radar and was even rumored for a cross-over appearance at SummerSlam (which obviously didn’t happen). She was runner-up on season 22 of “Dancing with the Stars” and is evolving into a big draw for UFC.

- The rumor on Friday was that Bo Dallas was removed from a flight due to being intoxicated. We have still been unable to confirm the rumor, however, he did not work Saturday night’s WWE live event in Puebla, Mexico.
