Alberto Del Rio and Paige

- Paige proposed marriage to Alberto Del Rio in the middle of the ring at Sunday’s WWC Aniversario 43 show in Puerto Rico. Video of the proposal is available here on my Facebook page. There has been a lot of fallout over the proposal with some saying it was a publicity stunt, with others highly critical. Pro Wrestling Sheet confirmed Del Rio’s divorce to Angela Velkei has not yet been finalized. Paige’s father, Ricky Knight, posted this on Facebook: “Putting this out there then saying no more, about it to anyone I am totally against my daughter marrying that man statement over.” The post has since been deleted from Facebook.

- Bill Goldberg’s son and wife are in Denver, Colorado for his appearance live on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Here’s a cool video of their arrival.

- In addition to Goldberg, Paul Heyman is at Raw tonight in Denver and presumably will be there to be involved in the angle. Emma is also there and Mark Henry is rumored to be there. Remember to join us at 8 PM ET for our Raw “Open Thread” featuring streaming live results and your discussion here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.

- Georges St-Pierre stated on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour that he is no longer under contract with the UFC. GSP claims his lawyer, James Quinn, terminated his UFC contract when the promotion did not meet a deadline to offer him a fight. GSP said he was negotiating a new deal with the organization, as he was under a contract that he signed in 2011, but WME-IMG, the new owners of the UFC, ceased negotiations. St-Pierre stated he was offered a fight against Robbie Lawler but that was off when he lost to Tyron Woodley in July and decided to temporarily step away from the sport. GSP was critical of the UFC, stating that most fighters will leave broke mentally, physically and financially. St-Pierre (25-2) hasn’t fought since beating Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in 2013.

- Daniel Bryan was in attendance at Sunday’s New York Islanders NHL game against the Anaheim Ducks. Bryan led the crowd in a “Yes” chant and MSG interviewed Bryan after the game. You can watch the interview online at this link.

- There is a rumor circulating amongst independent promoters that The Boogeyman is unavailable due to something with WWE in December 2016 and January 2017. We’re unable to confirm a return at press time but it’s something worth following. Given the fact that Marty Wright is 52 it’s hard to imagine them bringing him back on a full-time deal.

- Mick Foley noted he will no longer DM fans on Twitter due to this conversation being posted online. In another Twitter “story,” there was a funny exchange between Bill Simmons (here) and Sheamus (here)

- Two welterweight fights have been added to UFC on Fox: VanZant vs. Waterson. The bouts are as follows: Alan Jouban vs. Mike Perry and Bryan Barberena vs. Colby Covington. Fights already announced for that card include the main event of Paige VanZant vs. Michelle Waterson and Sage Northcutt vs. Mickey Gall. UFC on Fox: VanZant vs. Waterson will take place on December 17, 2016 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

- Tickets for UFC 206: Cormier vs. Johnson 2 from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, December 10, 2016 go on sale on this week. You can buy tickets in a presale on Wednesday at 10 AM ET by using the password UFCCAN. Click here for the purchase link.
