- Paigeunderwent neck surgery on Tuesday to repair a cervical herniated disc. She noted three screws were inserted to resolve the problem. The surgery was performed by Dr. Juan S. Uribe in Tampa, FL, the same physician that did Nikki Bella’s neck surgery. Paige was seen earlier today (Thursday) at the Tampa airport so she has been discharged from the hospital. The surgery has been a point of contention between Paige and WWE as their medical staff had cleared her to compete and wanted her to return following her first Wellness Policy violation in August. However, Dr. Uribe recommended surgical options and in the meantime, Paige failed another Wellness test. WWE has not mentioned Paige’s surgery on dot com, which speaks volumes about her status with the company right now.

- We noted earlier this month in Ask WNW that it would most-likely be Cody Garbrandt that would challenge Dominick Cruz next for the UFC bantamweight championship. That fight is now in the works for UFC 207, according to Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com. Cruz (22-1) hasn’t lost since March 2007, where he was submitted by Uriah Faber. He’s defeated Faber twice since then. Garbrandt (10-0) is undefeated and defeated Takeya Mizugaki in 48-seconds at UFC 202.

- Ion Cutelaba vs. Jared Cannonier has been added to The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale, the UFC announced on Thursday. Cutelaba (12-2) lost his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 89 earlier this year but defeated Jonathan Wilson at UFC Fight Night 96.

- To reiterate on The Undertaker’s status, he underwent a minor hip procedure that should not affect his status to compete at Wrestlemania 33 next year. The issue will be to get Undertaker on board as he told people close to him after his match against Shane McMahon this year that it was his final match. However, he’s said that before and Shane McMahon recently traveled to Texas to meet with him.

- Hideo Itami’s neck injury is expected to keep him out for two months. As we reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com, Itami was pulled from the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and his status for NXT TakeOver: Toronto is unknown. However, he is expected to be cleared by the NXT live event on December 3, 2016 in Japan.
