Rumor: Brian Gewirtz Leaves WWE To Work For The Rock
A report attributed to Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer publication claims that longtime WWE creative writer Brian Gewirtz gave his notice a few weeks ago and is now working as an executive for Seven Bucks Entertainment. Seven Bucks is a production company owned by The Rock and his ex-wife Dany Garcia.
Gewirtz has been a mainstay in the WWE creative process for over a decade. He was removed from his executive role in WWE back in 2012 when Eric Pankowski took over but remained on as a creative consultant.
Over the years, The Rock has specifically requested Gewirtz write his segments in WWE as the two obviously have a very good working relationship. According to the report attributed to Meltzer, Gewirtz said his goodbyes to people within WWE at the June 29, 2015 Raw taping in Washington, D.C.
