The third episode in Season 4 of Total Divas aired Tuesday night following an interesting hour of Tough Enough. I must say that I don't watch much TV outside of wrestling, especially not reality dramas. Spending two hours of my life a week watching Tough Enough and Total Divas will be the only time I watch reality TV because it is wrestling-related. But it's not only for the "drama" but to see my favorites like Paige on both shows. I just bring that up in case you think I'm addicted to reality TV outside of Tuesday nights. Without further ado, let's jump in to this week's review?
Eva Marie vs. The Bella Twins Continues
Last week in the first installment of Total Drama, Eva Marie was at the top of the rankings because she was brought up in almost every conversation or storyline throughout the past two episodes. Her name was once again as fiery as her hair when it came to The Bella Twins. In my opinion, Brie has shown she is the more compassionate sister out of The Bella's. Nikki has her moments. For once though, Brie is the one hating Eva Marie and not giving her a chance, whereas Nikki wants to make amends with Eva because Nikki is the "locker room leader."
Nikki and Eva met one-on-one in a quiet room to try and settle their differences. What started as a nice conversation soon turned to Nikki jumping to conclusions and Eva trying to make herself a threat to the WWE Divas. Oh, brother. They both leave the room angrier than they were before.
So what's next? Are we going to see a cat fight? That would be exciting. Brie doesn't think Eva will be in the company in a year, but Eva is hoping she has a spot on the WrestleMania 32 card. Which is more likely? Probably neither as Eva is just now making it to NXT TV this week. WWE most likely won't be getting rid of Eva Marie anytime soon.
WrestleMania 31 - The Bella Twins vs. Paige & Who?
WrestleMania 31 arrives. This is just about the time #GiveDivasAChance started. I was all for this tag team match featuring AJ Lee and Paige versus The Bella Twins. The Divas Champion had a spot on the card, as did two very deserving Divas in Paige and AJ.
We see snippets of the tag match and footage of some of the other Divas watching the match in the locker room. Fox points out AJ is just laying on the outside of the ring while the Total Divas are working the ring. Cameron predicts AJ will get in the ring and steal the victory. Sure enough, Cameron was right. AJ won the match with the Black Widow. The other Divas did not seemed thrilled about AJ winning it. The segment just made me think that maybe AJ really is seen as an "outsider" even though she spent well over a year as the face of the Divas division.
Post-match, Paige is trying to hold back tears as she greets her family and friends. One name backstage includes Alundra Blayze. I thought it was awesome to see Alundra talking to Paige, Natalya, and The Bella's during the episode about their careers and wrestling.
I was satisfied with the Divas at WrestleMania, and my hope is this Divas Revolution that we are currently seeing on TV leads to big things come WrestleMania 32.
Natalya's HOF Speech Dilemma
Last week I brought up the fact that Natalya doesn't ever seem to experience something positive in her life on Total Divas without something going wrong. The trend continued this week. Natalya is granted the opportunity to induct Alundra Blayze into the WWE Hall of Fame. Before the ceremony begins, Nattie has to deal with her father's tie issue. Okay, that's minor, but still... Really? Then after that is resolved, Nattie is told she has to change a part in her speech that includes Arn Anderson. Really?
As it was revealed later in the episode, Nattie kept was looks to have been the part about Arn Anderson in her speech. Wait to go Nattie for sticking with her gut. It was a funny story, I thought anyways. Just hopefully there's a positive trend before Kidd's neck injury?
Bryan & Brie Receive Good News
The third episode actually ended on a positive note. Both Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan find out they are fertile and can have kids. Yay for them! After Bryan's injury last year, and Brie's drama with Eva, it was nice to see good news for the both of them.
Well that concludes this week's Total Drama. It was a decent episode with a look back at WrestleMania 31. Nothing too juicy to note, which isn't always a bad thing. What do you think of the season so far? Will Eva Marie reach Nikki and Brie's level one day? I'd love to hear from you below in the comments area!
