Hello and welcome back to yet another edition of the Weekly Rundown hosted by yours truly, Guy Landau. This is a weekly feature on WrestlingNewsWorld.com where I gloss over the important happenings in WWE & TNA week as it pertains to the companies' respective major shows, in the form of bulletins for the positive happenings (under the "YES!" column, and prefaced with + signs), the negative happenings (under the "NO!" column, and prefaced with – signs), and the ones I could not decide what they were, but felt they were important enough to comment on (Under the "Maybe?" column, and prefaced with ? signs).

So without further ado, let's get started.

YES!

Impact Wrestling

+ Notice how hard it was for Storm to put him #1 contendership on the line? THIS is what it should have been like when Hardy put his #1 contendership for Aries before BFG up against Bully Ray.

+ While they were a bit off to start with, Kash vs. RVD was better than I expected it to be.

+ Jesse was surprisingly decent in his work against EY.

+ Joseph Park to wrestling camp… Much like Bully as A&8 leader, imagine how satisfying the reveal of Joseph Park as Abyss is going to be. This is how you build a storyline over a long period of time, well done TNA.

+ Bully and Brooke. Huh.

+ I like the focus they are putting on AJ now.

+ It was nice to see A&8 being human in dealing with Doc’s reinstating.

Smackdown

+ MizTV was nice, if a bit long. Both teams showing dysfunction was interesting. Sandow is, as usual, great. “One Word Wonder” is a linguistic gem.

+ Nice finish to Smackdown

Survivor Series

+ Great opening sequence to the opening match between Epico and Kidd

+ Sin Cara has really improved his crispness. Don’t get me wrong, he still has zero psychology or flexibility in his work, but at least he became good at what HE does.

+ Great, great match between Show and Sheamus, realism really adds so much to a match. I didn’t like the finish, it pulled me out of what was otherwise an amazing match.

+ ZIGGLER THE SOLE SURVIVOR of an incredible Traditional Survivor Series match. The Superkick finish was a very nice touch as well.

RAW

+ Raw was the first time I’ve ever seen someone work over an EYE, in Barrett.

+ Orton vs. del Rio was good, it was the first time in a while I’ve seen Orton sell like that.

+ There was some very intense promo work by Ziggler to AJ, well done.

+ PTP on commentary was a lot of fun

+ Heyman’s comments on last week were spot on from where he’s standing. I’m not one clamoring for the attitude era, partially because of stuff like that. Heyman was right about the people asking for the attitude era and chanting ECW at him.

NO!

Impact Wrestling

- So, TNA takes a page out of WCW’s book to switch the announce teams after hour #1, but then they morph it into a 3 men booth with a guy who was never necessary to make announce better?

- Why did they have Storm win, only to lose it to Roode 1 day later on tape? Why not just have Roode win in the first place?

- So, what has Kid Kash done to earn an X Division title match?

- Not that I’m complaining, but why is Magnus getting yet another TV Title match? I get that it was done just to get him out there for A&8’s attack, but there wasn’t enough logic behind it.

- Hardy’s voiceover thoughts are HORRIBLE. Please, make it stop.

Smackdown

- So… now Natalya is face again? Uh, OK. But… Why? And she has an angle with Khali? Oh, lovely!

- “Truth, would you say Sin Cara is alluring?” –“Alluring?” –“That would be a no, Josh” –“Alluring, I don’t know what that means…” TOTAL RADIO SILENCE FOR A MINUTE.

- Oh, speak of the devil… Khali is main eventing Smackdown… Yay… Just to put this into perspective – This is a man who failed to sell being knocked out by the KO punch. He just needed to lie still and not move and he couldn’t even do that.

Survivor Series

- Bonus Survivor Series elimination match? Why wasn’t it announced in advance? Wait, who’s in this thing anyway? Oh, that’s why they didn’t announce it… Some of these people I’m glad are on the card (Tensai, Kiddriel, PTP), don’t get me wrong, but nothing says “no build” like a 5 on 5 elimination bonus match.

- Otunga of all people? Were there really no other heels available?

- I really dislike the false finishers strategy of Punk and Cena when they battle each other. I knew that neither the first GTS nor the first AA would end it, and that’s never good. Also – what the hell was up with that finish? Rollins, Roman Reigns (who I have yet to see the greatness in, by the way) and Ambrose debuting in a very Nexus fashion (NXT guys ruin a main event? Who would have ever imagined...) on the main roster? Unless this is the beginning of a Punk & Heyman-led stable, I am not happy.

RAW

- Ah, great. Tensai vs. RyBack. AGAIN.

- Oh god, enough with this “evidence”! This storyline has got to stop and move onto being strictly Cena/Ziggler!

- When was the last time a fall for the face in a 2 out of 3 falls match was not a DQ after the heel overworked him in a corner?

- Bad work by the producers on Miz/Otunga. Miz isn’t nearly as established enough as a babyface to play Damsel, definitely not to Otunga who isn’t nearly proven enough in the fans’ eyes. The crowd did love him when he had offense, but he just should have had more offense, or a much shorter match.
