Hello and welcome back to yet another edition of the Weekly Rundown hosted by yours truly, Guy Landau. This is a weekly feature on WrestlingNewsWorld.com where I gloss over the important happenings in WWE & TNA week as it pertains to the companies' respective major shows, in the form of bulletins for the positive happenings (under the "YES!" column, and prefaced with + signs), the negative happenings (under the "NO!" column, and prefaced with – signs), and the ones I could not decide what they were, but felt they were important enough to comment on (Under the "Maybe?" column, and prefaced with ? signs).

So without further ado, let's get started.

YES!

Destination X

+ Notice how JB and Tenay had good things to say about all of the 2nd chance 4 way participants… until Darsow came in, in which point they talked in general about all 4. And you know what? He was actually much better when not having to deal with Flip Cassanova… He was still terrible though, VERY fake-looking offense.

+ Decent match between King and Williams.

+ "World Tag Team Champions of the World – Not redundant". I love how Daniels is making a catchphrase out of his mistake a couple of weeks ago.

+ Nice that they gave Jesse the time to address the fans.

+ Zema impressed me in his match to the point where I wouldn't mind him being X Division champion too much. Flip did not.

+ Joe won a great match against Angle, and I honestly didn't think TNA would give Joe such a high profile victory.

+ I never expected Aries to win, which is a good thing. Besides, it was a great main event. I have my doubts about it, but I'll leave those to the "Maybe?".

+ Overall Destination X was a very strong effort on TNA's part. Well done in my book.

RAW

+ Great opening segment (if a bit wacko), and a great way to reintroduce the anonymous RAW GM. I still despise the gimmick, but it was reintroduced in a great way.

+ Tensai beating Christian and attacking Kidd is interesting, especially with Vickie being impressed.

+ Cole telling the WWE Universe not to vote for him because him in the ring is disgracing the sport is hilarious.

+ Great way to end RAW with AJ coming out on top.

Smackdown

+ Very nice match between Sin Cara andDel Rioto open the show. The match had some misques and botches, but overall it was good. Cara has some value when he's being carried. Still, I'd rather he wasn't on my TV screen.

+ A.W.'s approach is different, and I found myself entertained by it – Which is good, because the match was rather boring.

+ Absolutely the right result in the tag match between Ziggler & Cody and Christian and Santino. Ziggler pinning Santino is exactly how it should've been booked. After this match, if I didn't want Ziggler and Rhodes to be future World champions I wouldn't mind them tagging together.

+ Sandow hooked the leg with the leg sweep! FINALLY! I can allow myself to go back to cheering his work.

+ Great main event between Sheamus andJericho.

+ In Sheamus vs.Jericho, unlike Angle vs. Anderson from Impact which will be mentioned below, the kickouts from finishers were done not instantaneously after the finisher was hit, but there was always a couple of seconds' delay which makes a huge difference.

Impact Wrestling

+ TNA doesn't waste time in starting off this jam packed Impact, does he? Right off the bat we get an highly anticipated match between Parks and Bully Ray. Regardless, TNA is building towards a realization that Park is Abyss, and I for one am LOVING it.

+ I have to say Darsow wasn't as bad as he was in Destination X, though that's probably because his match was structured so that his weaknesses (i.e. being in control after a comeback) would not show.

+ Solid match between Joe and RVD. RVD really had to win in order to remain relevant in the BFG series.

+ Both Roode and Aries were great in their segment.

NO!

Destination X

- In the opener, really only Rubix looked like he belonged. Andrews locked in horrible looking submissions, Darsow stomped the air and hit multiple armpit drops (as opposed to elbow drops), and Only missed his timing. The fact that Rubix did not win is a travesty, though I suppose Andrews in the best choice after him (with quite a big gap, but nonetheless).

- A TNA referee fell for "look, a bird!". What great referee work from a kayfabe perspective.

- UGH! Ultimate X was way too choreographed for my liking. Besides, while I said I wouldn't mind Ion winning, it was done solely for the sake of Sorensen and King deserved that victory so much more.

RAW

- The anonymous GM's typing rate is very unrealistic. Besides, he's suddenly face in the beginning of the evening, and back being heel before he's revealed?

- So Swagger is back to jobsville? Great… Ziggler doesn't need Vickie, Swagger does!

- Same goes for McIntyre. While his performance against Clay was very underwhelming, he deserves better than what he is getting.

- Seriously, is Kane face or heel? Does Cena not remember than a mere couple of months ago Kane was terrorizing him?

- This is a nitpick and a very personal thing that I would've liked to see, but why didn't Jerishow enter together? Even if Big Show wouldn't have liked it, it would have been AWESOME!

- Sin Cara qualifies for MITB? Perhaps they just want to use it to get rid of him (e.g. his suspension last year).

- Cole said that he couldn't vote more than once. Then, during his match, Booker said he voted 10 times? It's a small thing but it should not happen.

- Hornswoggle was the Anonymous RAW GM. I jus… I… Nevermind, this will take the whole blog to expand upon. In short, I am displeased with the move.

- The MITB Pre-show is the tag champs (who weren't at RAW, by the way) facing… Hunico and Camacho? Aren't the Prime Time Players the #1 Contenders? Is WWE forgetting about A.W.'s team AGAIN?!

Smackdown

- While Del Rio vs. Sin Cara was better than I expected, it still doesn't warrant the push Sin Cara is apparently getting. I don't know about Sin Cara's heat, the Sin Cara from Smackdown doesn't look like a guy in the doghouse.

- Ryder didn't have enough of a role in my eyes. I would've liked to see him go for a title or for a MITB spot.

Impact Wrestling

- This AJ/Clair story has gone far enough. This storyline is really starting to get contrived. Unless they reveal that Daniels took Clair off the wagon to say those things I am not at all for this. I also hope that Daniels had nothing to do with the baby if AJ is in fact not the father. But really, the fact that we are speculating on who's her baby daddy on a wrestling show is bad enough.

- NO! Why is Dakota Darsow in Impact?! And more importantly, does this mean we'll have to suffer through Flip Cassanova as well?!

- Why didn't Aries open Impact? He just ended the longest title reign of the biggest heel in the company on Sunday, that should have been the focal point of the show. Instead, we get a couple of mentions and then only in the beginning of the 2nd hour of Impact do we actually get his appearance.

- Right, so the BFG series started off with a 10 minute time limit. Then, it was changed to 15 minutes. Now, Anderson informs us that his match has a 20 minute time limit? Way to be in unison and stick by your guns, TNA.

- Is it just the taping I was watching or were there 2 commercial breaks with 10 seconds in between (in the middle of Anderson vs. Angle)?

- Waaay too many finisher kickouts in Angle vs. Anderson. It's just a TV main event, what are you going to do in a big event match?

- We did not need Hogan's theme 3 times before Impact ended with the double beatdown. Once would've been enough.

Maybe?

? Aries winning the TNA WHC is very joyous, but you also, at the same time, have to wonder what will happen at BFG, now that Storm can't be the one to take the belt off of Roode. Perhaps Roode will win the rematch, but then that begs the question of why the hell did TNA do the change in the first place? One big reasoning for it could be that they didn’t want to use a BFG series competitor, but then you really need to find a solution for that when you do such a tournament.
