Scott Fishman of The Miami Herald published a new article on Wednesday featuring quotes from Dolph Ziggler. While Ziggler spoke about a number of topics in a piece that you can read at this link, I wanted to highlight two specifics.
What Dolph Ziggler thinks about NXT:
“NXT is exploding as a brand. It’s very in right now,” he said. “You want to be an NXT fan. They sold out Barclays Center for a show. How cool is that? I’m very happy for those guys. To have them in the game is amazing. They were a developmental system in WWE and breaking out into their own brand. Now they are in the video game. If that doesn’t make them hungry and want to steal my spot, nothing will. I welcome it. I’m looking forward to it. The more challenges the better. The game is great. NXT is doing great. It’s a lot of fun.”
Re-signing with WWE:
“My contract was coming up, and I was weighing a bunch of different option,” he said. “I had a lot of outside offers to do some other things. Instead I decided to settle on doing the thing I love the most and working for WWE. WWE has given me an out where any days off that I have they allow me to work on outside projects. So it’s a win-win for everybody. I don’t miss any work. I get to keep doing what I love. Just like when it’s SummerSlam week, but I’m going to a comedy club to perform and the next day going to a theater to sneak in a couple of minutes because I don’t sleep and want to be the best performer I can.”

Richard Reacts: It’s nice to see Dolph has such a positive attitude about NXT. Second, this kills any rumor that Ziggler had his push killed or heat for running comedy shows.
