WWE Reveals New Talent, Heat On Dean Ambrose?, Chael Sonnen To Bellator MMA, Brandi Rhodes To TNA

Chael Sonnen

- In addition to WWE Cruiserweight Champion T.J. Perkins, WWE has announced that Brian Kendrick, Rich Swann, Gran Metalik, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado and Noam Dar are all confirmed to join the new cruiserweight division on Raw. Yes, you read that correctly in Lince Dorado. We reported just Wednesday here in our Members content that WWE was looking to bring in Dorado but not debut him straight to Raw in case they went forward with a cruiserweight division on Smackdown. However, when it was learned that Dorado’s name had already leaked as to being in negotiations, the decision was made to go ahead and announce him for Raw. - Chael Sonnen is headed to Bellator MMA on a new multi-fight agreement that was signed on Thursday night. Sonnen was suspended in July 2014 for two years because of two failed drug tests before his fight against Wanderlei Silva at UFC 175. While he had announced his retirement from fighting, there were indications that he would be returning when he was eligible this summer and he would return. Sonnen told The MMA Hour in July he had officially entered into the UFC’s USADA drug testing pool. He plans to fight wherever Belltaor wants him and it looks like that will be light heavyweight, although Bellator MMA president Scott Coker stated Sonnen could have several “super-fights.”

- The Sanity faction was revealed at last night’s WWE NXT tapings last night in Winter Park, FL. It’s comprised of Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, Sawyer Fulton and Nikki Storm. We’ll have spoilers online shortly, in fact, by the time you read this, they should be on the main listing.

- TMZ Sports is reporting that Brandi Rhodes, the real-life wife of Cody Rhodes, has signed a deal to wrestle for TNA Impact Wrestling. This has been announced as Cody is expected to follow. WWE is not wanting Cody to use the Rhodes least name, so we’d imagine that’ll be an issue with her as well.

- WWE Studios has acquired the worldwide rights to a faith-based film from the Harvest Bible Chapel’s Vertical Church Films. The movie is called “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone” and stars Brett DaltonAnjelah Johnson-Reyes, D.B. Sweeney, Neil Flynn and Shawn Michaels. The film is set to be released on January 20, 2017. Dot com has the details at this link.
