There has been a lot of back-and-forth between real-life rivals Jim Cornette and Vince Russo but it may have just reached unprecedented levels.
The recent spat began when Russo was incensed after watching Table For 3 in which Cornette, Eric Bischoff and Michael Hayes took a number of shots at Russo especially during his time booking for WCW. After this, Jim Cornette became annoyed with Russo and said that they would have to settle it all in a public location ("no cops, no guns, no knives") and just see what happens between the two of them. His challenge was issued to Russo via Cornette's podcast.
Russo then responded by declining the invitation and then sarcastically apologized to Jim while alleging that the Southern promoter/manager was just jealous of all the things Russo has accomplished in wrestling.
The next step is this: Vince Russo has issued (and was granted) an official restraining order against Jim Cornette on the basis of feeling threatened and it tells Cornette to stay away from Russo, his family, his home and place of employment. Cornette responded by posting a picture of the document and sarcastically remarking that it's a shame that he can't "hang out with him anymore."
Golly, VOLDERMORT just filed a Emergency Protective Order on me. I can't hang out with him anymore! pic.twitter.com/jSx9CEFj0F
