While WWE still doesn't want to release Paige before the movie inspired by her family is released, there is a growing faction in the corporate structure that believes WWE should re-evaluate their position. The call was already made to remove her from Total Divas when shooting began last month, which added more friction to her relationship with Albert El Patron as she blames him for costing her a spot on the show. With her only making her downside guarantee from her WWE contract right now, the income from Total Divas became much more important than in previous years.
As things stand now, there are no plans to use her, medically cleared or not, and the only reason she hasn't been released is WWE doesn't want her appearing on IMPACT when The Rock's movie about her family comes out.
Attempts to return to the company have been ignored and many in WWE don't want her back as long as she's involved with El Patron. There was already a suspicion internally of her having drug issues and the recent accusation of cocaine possession only reinforced WWE's fear.
