- The overall atmosphere backstage was relatively chaotic. The final script didn't come down until approximately 5 PM.
- Multiple scenarios were discussed for the finish to Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena. If you read our update from last week, you knew the idea of utilizing Seth Rollins wasn't a new one. WWE ultimately settled on Rollins hitting Cena with the briefcase -- effectively destroying his chance at redemption -- in an attempt to help build him as a top heel. They're in a hurry to build new stars and felt that was the best course of action.
- Many backstage were fearing the worst but hoping for the best in regards to Roman Reigns. The word on Sunday was that Reigns could be out for up to three months. The injury threw a wrench into the company's long term storylines.
- Sheamus and Cesaro were greeted with rave reviews for their WWE United States Championship match. One observer talked about no matter how many instances the company pulls back on Cesaro, he continues to go above and beyond by delivering. He helped his stock on Sunday, especially with the company looking for more talent to push at the top of the card.
