Backstage news from Monday Night Raw in Hartford, CT…
- The talk at this week's show was to use Chris Jericho as a way to prevent Bray Wyatt from getting lost in the shuffle. This was a concern following his program with John Cena and is WWE's solution. WWE has been in talks with Jericho for a return for much of this year, with multiple scenarios pitched to him. Jericho refused a request to participate in the 30-man Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania XXX because he only wanted to return if there was a solid creative plan for him. Jericho doesn't mind to put an up and coming talent over but it can't be for nothing either.
- There continues to be a lot of concern regarding the health of Daniel Bryan. Many see a second surgery as an inevitability but there's nothing concrete on that. If there seemed to be a lot of uncertainty in his promo on the Money in the Bank Kickoff, it's because there's a lot of uncertainty in real life. No one knows, not even Daniel Bryan, when he'll work again. He has been removed from all creative plans and is out of plans for SummerSlam as of this writing.
- The arrest of Emma began making rounds on Monday night, with her telling people she forgot to pay for an iPad case. That's the same thing her attorney stated on Tuesday, according to reports.
- Both Rob Van Dam and Seth Rollins were said to be sore following the Money in the Bank ladder match on Sunday night. Obviously, that's to be expected.
