Chris Hero

We’ve checked with multiple sources regarding Chris Hero and are told his WWE offer is on the table but he has yet to put pen to paper.

This directly contradicts what we heard earlier in the week in that he signed last week, however, we do have enough confidence to retract our original report and correct with this. It’s unknown how the misinformation began to circulate or if someone just assumed Hero had signed but Hero has been very coy about everything because guys get heat when news of their deals leak.

BJ Whitmer is another name that has been high up on WWE’s list. He also has a contract offer but has not yet signed.

WWE has offered Whitmer a role as both a coach at the Performance Center as well as a part time wrestler in NXT. Triple H would want him wrestling on the important NXT shows, but wouldn't be wrestling on the smaller spot shows around Florida.

ROH is aware that WWE is going after him, but so far, ROH hasn't been very aggressive in trying to get him to re-sign. Once they locked up the Young Bucks, the focus really became making sure Adam Cole re-signs in April. ROH has accepted WWE is going to get at least a handful of their guys and they're not willing to get into a bidding war for older talent like Steve Corino, Nigel McGuiness, Whitmer, etc.
