The WWE Performer’s Contract of Tyson Kidd is coming up soon and he’s been told they do not believe they’ll ever medically clear him to return to the ring.
Kidd suffered a severe neck/spinal injury prior to the June 1, 2015 episode of Monday Night Raw in a pre-show dark match against Samoa Joe. The injury occurred when he landed badly after taking Joe’s Muscle Buster finisher. He underwent cervical fusion surgery to repair the injury and the outcome could have been much worse. Kidd could have been left a quadriplegic or even died based on the extent of the injury. Shortly after surgery, Kidd tweeted that “5% of people survive” the injury.
Kidd has remained largely out of the public limelight but was photographed at a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla show with Jack Evansback in January.
