Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar

While it’s true Vince McMahon is keeping the finish to Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg very close to his vest, we have been able to uncover the drama behind it as of this weekend. The plan is obviously for Lesnar to go over but what is being debated is whether to protect Goldberg at all with the finish. WWE is already trying to get more dates on Goldberg, but so far, Bill has been adamant that he doesn't want to commit to any matches beyond Survivor Series because he wants to see how his body holds up in the match and what kind of pain he's in the day after the match, the week after the match, etc.

Vince thinks he'll be able to get Goldberg to do at least Wrestlemania 33, but thus far, Bill won't budge on not wanting to commit to anything until after Survivor Series. So Vince has to decide whether to just have Bill lose straight up or do a finish that could lead to another match or program. And that's a tough decision to make when you're essentially guessing as to whether he'll be back.

Right now, Bill is not saying it's definitely his last match. But he is asking for it to be booked that way as he doesn't want to agree to do more matches when he has no idea how he'll hold up in the first one.
