WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar was actually negotiating with company officials when he got mad and stormed off at this week’s Monday Night Raw in Nashville, TN.

There are three main points of contention in the negotiations right now - merchandise, UFC and signing an extension vs. a new contract with WWE.

Brock has been unwilling to sign an extension with WWE because he wants to be a free agent and weigh his offers. This puts WWE in a tough spot as they could wind up trying to write Lesnar off in a way that damages him, only for him to return. So the compromise Brock offered is that he would sign an extension, but that during the term of his extension, he'd be allowed to take one UFC fight. WWE balked at the idea.

Brock is also seeking a very high merchandise guarantee so that if WWE continues on the current route of only offering limited merchandise for him, they'd still be paying him big time money for it. A high merchandise guarantee would force WWE to aggressively merchandise Brock in order to make their money back. WWE is balking at this as well.

So WWE refusing to allow Brock to fight for UFC while under contract and not wanting to offer him a high merchandise guarantee resulted in him very unhappy at this week’s TV.

Lesnar’s next scheduled appearance for WWE is on the March 9, 2015 episode of Raw from Pittsburgh, PA.
