We reported earlier this month here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium that WWE was expected to extend an offer to former TNA star Tommy “Crimson” Mercer in April. There are a couple of other names rumored to be drawing interest from the company.
The first worker that WWE is interested in signing is Uhaa Nation. Contrary to reports circulating outside of Wrestling News World, we’re told he has not yet been offered a deal. Nation has been going through the medical screening/drug testing pre-screening process. This can take some time, with talent having to wait weeks or even months to find out if they passed so they can be offered a deal.
Another talent WWE is interested in is Adam Cole, who is most known for his work in Ring of Honor, and has been linked with WWE interest in the past. Cole could have put off getting shoulder surgery, but wanted to get it done ASAP in hopes that he'd be good to go for April when WWE will be signing guys. He just got the surgery and will be out a few months, but should be back in April. Him going to WWE is not 100%, but the interest is mutual and he may have had his last ROH match.
He's told some people he was re-signing with ROH, but the contract has not been signed yet and with him on the shelf, there has not been urgency to complete the deal. It creates the opening for Cole to depart if he chooses after his shoulder recovery.
