- We have written a lot about Vince McMahon accelerating plans for Finn Balor’sDemon King persona. It was accelerated one more notch to debut on Raw as opposed to the pay-per-view as Vince wanted to gauge the reaction. Remember, Vince was concerned about Balor not having enough steam going into SummerSlam, which is what he used as the main reason for going to the facepaint. Vince really feels the entrance and paint separates him from everyone else. Balor is expected to have a lengthy match against Seth Rollins on Sunday.

- Believe it or not, the talk coming out of Raw was that WWE officials are interested in pushing Bubba Ray Dudley as a heel like his Bully Ray gimmick. I’ll believe it when I see it and some have suggested it’s too late but we’re told Triple H wanted to get the Bully Ray out of people’s minds first.

- Primo took some heat for being out of position for the finish of The Shining Stars tag team match against The Prime Time Players.

- Kenny Omega is drawing strong WWE interest as we can confirm feelers have been put out to find out when his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is up. He’s the first non-Japanese wrestler to win the the G1 Climax and we all know how WWE wants to go after NJPW’s top stars. For those that do not remember what started this, we broke the story back in January here in our Members content. WWE was in negotiations with NJPW about airing some of their content on the WWE Network. A hangup was that WWE didn’t want New Japan airing on AXS anymore. However, everything broke down when NJPW went public about WWE’s desire for their content. That started WWE’s revenge plan to neuter their ability to compete in the US as well as try to compete with them more in Japan. The acquisitions of Mauro Ranallo, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were all in reaction to NJPW publicly leaking WWE negotiations.

- Samoa Joe is rumored to be headed to Smackdown when he is finally called up from NXT. It should happen shortly after Saturday’s TakeOver event, as Bayley is also on the short-list.
