Sting WWE

- Perceptive viewers probably noticed WWE referencing Sting beating Hulk Hogan on this week’s Monday Night Raw. It wasn’t a mistake as Vince McMahon realizes that completely washing away Hogan and his accomplishments is impossible, his legacy is too big. Not to mention the heat has died down and the smoke has cleared. While it may be some time before Hogan returns to WWE TV, there are already rumblings about merchandise starting back up. The distancing from Hogan was a cosmetic move and we’re expecting WWE to begin warming back up to him the more time that passes.

- Paige and Sasha Banks went right to the finish after the nasty German suplex spot, a directive from the referee. Sasha underwent some concussion testing backstage but I don’t know how it went.

- Cesaro has been working out with John Cena at the gym more than normal lately. The two have obviously become pretty close lately, with Cena continuing to put him over to company officials. We’re told their friendship along with Cena’s internal support of Cesaro go hand and hand.

- Daniel Bryan continues to push WWE hard regarding his medical clearance. He knows he can’t be off TV much longer if they want to capitalize on his momentum and he also realizes there is a prime spot for a top babyface right now. No change so far but Bryan is doing all he can do to get their doctors to clear him.

- Vince McMahon was impressed with Sting’s in-ring shape and the fact he can still work at a high level at age 56.

- Sid Eudy recently signed a Legends deal with WWE for licensing and merchandising purposes. We’re told there are plans for a Flashback WWE Mattel Elite action figure before the end of the year.

- Scarlett Bordeaux, whose real name is Elizabeth Chihaia, from Ring of Honor is on WWE’s radar. There have been conversations about bringing her in to work on NXT but no word if there has been any direct contact. Scarlett appeared as a “Rose bud” for Adam Rose around a dozen times.
