Inside Details On TNA And Billy Corgan, TV Future, Del Rio Cleared For US Return
While Billy Corgan has now engaged in litigation against TNA Wrestling, we have some details that preceded it.
There were companies and investment funds interested in purchasing TNA but were “given the run around” by the company’s lawyers. This resulted in many close to the situation believing a deal with Billy Corgan was very close as late comers to the process had their calls returned very slowly or not returned at all. The company was being very vague about whether it was even for sale anymore.
Prior to the lawsuit, the vast majority of the office had broke in support of Billy Corgan. We’re told the hope was that he ended up in control and that Dixie Carter basically had no support.
On another note, TNA’s deal with Universal Studios in Orlando to host their television tapings is about to expire and talks have not gone well for a renewal.
On the talent side, talks between TNA and Alberto Del Rio continue but so far TNA has resisted on bringing him in without a contract. Del Rio is now officially free to work in the US.
