- Kenny Omega is scheduled to work at a show on January 29, 2017 in Chile, which has left many fans realizing that he’s not going to appear at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The rumor for the majority of the month has been his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling runs through the end of the month. We’ve heard conflicting reports about when exactly Omega’s contract with NJPW ends and there are some believe there is still a possibility of him appearing at the Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday. What is known is Omega is being coy about his status but it’s a known fact he wants to work AJ Styles. In recent public statements, he’s fed into speculation that he could be headed to WWE but it’s something that cannot be confirmed by anyone at this time.

- Vince McMahon felt that Goldberg’s promo on this week’s WWE Raw was a debacle. No one said anything to him about it but Goldberg has never been known for his mic work. Vince hated it during his first tenure in the company and that much hasn’t changed.

- There was fear that Rusev suffered a broken nose at Raw but he’s good to go after further examination.
