WWE is very busy putting together the roster for next month's taping of the WWE Mae Young Classic Women's Tournament, a tournament that has been delayed numerous times and was supposed to take place last September. WWE recently cut their list to 50 candidates and the plan is to have 40 females ready for the 32 women tournament. So there are ten more cuts to be made. WWE wants to make sure to have alternates there at the tapings in the event of any injuries or unforeseen circumstances.
With so much focus lately on bringing in women for the tournament, some of the male talent WWE has been interested in has been told that there will be tryouts and signings in September. Adam Cole is not expected to have to wait that long, but some of the younger talent WWE has eyes on won't be brought in until after the Summer. One name WWE is very high on ROH 2016 Top Prospect Tournament winner Lio Rush and the plan is to give him a serious look in September.
