WWE and UFC aren’t the only options for current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. We’re told that Bellator MMA is preparing to make Brock a “massive offer" when his contract expires with WWE after Wrestlemania 31 next year.
Booking Brock at Wrestlemania may be tricky because thus far, he’s indicated he doesn’t want to sign an extension. Sources close to Lesnar indicate he wants to field offers after the pay-per-view next March and then make a decision. Under this scenario, WWE would be forced to book him at Wrestlemania without knowing his future with the company.
Bellator had been “going hard" after CM Punk, but Punk’s people postured to Bellator that he wasn’t going to do MMA. Punk did a good job of keeping the UFC deal under wraps and even if Bellator had offered more money than UFC, UFC is where he wanted to go.
After losing out on Punk, Bellator is going to be even more aggressive in going after Brock Lesnar. Bellator is also interested in in Alberto Del Rio and plan on offering him a contract as well.
