We're told there has been a lot of talk between WWE and the state governments of New York and New Jersey about staging additional promotional events leading up to Wrestlemania 29 next year.

Nothing has been finalized but both sides are exploring ideas for different charity and fundraising initiatives to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy. Not only will it be good PR for WWE but it will put focus on the history of Wrestlemania in the New York area over the years in hopes of generating additional publicity for the event.

Some of the things talked about have been WWE donating memorabilia for charity auctions to actually having some of the wrestlers help with rebuilding efforts.

We're told to expect heavy focus on Sandy relief efforts as Wrestlemania approaches. The area is desperate for help while WWE is eager for the publicity.
