We are able to confirm that Billy Corgan, in addition to considering opening his own promotion, is also exploring making an offer to buy Ring of Honor. ROH is not currently being shopped around, but Sinclair has thought about selling off and on over the last couple of years.

When WWE and ROH were in talks to add ROH footage to a premium tier of the WWE Network, Sinclair did make it known they would be open to selling ROH outright to WWE, although talks quickly fizzled.

As we reported recently, Sinclair wanting to keep their options open in terms of selling the company is ultimately why they couldn't get a deal done with FloSlam.

Corgan is just kind of kicking the tires right now and unlike with TNA, there is no impending doom with ROH that would be forcing a sale. Whereas TNA was on the verge of going under and it was just a question of who would be buying it.
