I'm told several members of the WWE creative team were "pulling their hair out" all week leading up to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday. Vince McMahon changed his mind about the 30-man Royal Rumble match outcome several times.

Chris Jericho, which many labeled the "obvious pick," was slated to win the match at one point as well as Randy Orton. Vince started talking about wanting a "total surprise" as the winner towards the end of the week and ultimately decided on Sheamus.
