In Wednesday’s WNW Premium cover story, we reported on there being strong discussions within WWE about turning either Roman Reigns or Dean Ambrose heel at the end of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament. We’re told Triple H is most supportive of turning Reigns heel and becoming the new “face of The Authority."

Vince McMahon, however, isn’t sold. As we’ve noted, he’s been very reluctant to turn Reigns heel and prefers either Reigns vs. Ambrose or Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler with Sheamus “cashing in” the Money in the Bank briefcase to become the new “face of The Authority.”

Two separate people that I speak with on a regular basis with strong ties to WWE feel that a Reigns heel turn is long overdue and definitely the way to go. Had Seth Rollins not gotten hurt, both of these observers believed a double turn was the way to go. If they can make Reigns a top heel, the feeling is the tournament would not be a total dud.
