Why ROH Wrestling Hasn't Agreed To Deal With FloSlam
Ring of Honor and FloSlam have still not agreed on a deal that would see ROH Wrestling on the streaming service.
A source close to the situation reports ROH is hurting for money right now, which is why they were originally open to the idea of running events that would be exclusive to FloSlam. But the two sides haven't been able to agree on the length of the commitment. And with Sinclair interested in possibly selling the company if the right opportunity came along, they're afraid of getting locked into a FloSlam deal that would harm their ability to sell the company if they found the right buyer.
FloSlam wants a five year deal, but with FloSlam being allowed to opt out after two years, with ROH not having an opt out at all. ROH wants to be able to opt out after one year. The sides had agreed on money, but the length of the deal and who could opt out when has left the two sides at an impasse and as of last week, they weren't talking anymore.
Both sides are waiting for the other to budge and so far, nobody is.
