- The plan for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam is still a tossup and we’re probably a couple weeks away from getting it as they’re tinkering with the finish. The plan for the WWE Universal Championship as of last Tuesday had the belt on Finn Balor. Vince McMahon has wanted Balor on the main roster for quite some time and Triple H feels the success of Balor on the main roster will make him look more successful for NXT. Balor literally has everything going right for him and WWE will hope the fans will buy him as a big deal.

- We’ve been reporting for months there are plans for another set of WWE Tag Team titles and while we heard they may have gotten cold feet, the latest is they’ll premiere the new titles the Tuesday after SummerSlam on Smackdown Live. One reader asked us if there is a chance WWE brings back any tag teams and we’re told they would like to bring back one or two teams on Smackdown to bolster the division.

- The current belief within WWE is that Alberto Del Rio will not re-sign when his contract comes up this fall. We’ve followed this every step of the way but Triple H doesn’t like Del Rio and it looks like the company will ultimately part ways with him. The latest on the saga can be found at this link.

- Paul Heyman has agreed to a new contract to remain with WWE and reportedly has more say about his new dates. We’re expecting his usage to increase but it’s unknown to what degree. Remember, he'd grown frustrated because he was paid per appearance and wasn't being used regularly. Paul is known for pitching creative ideas for his character.

- Roderick Strong is expected to start with NXT as soon as later this month before summer is over. Triple H is giving a hard look at Ring of Honor talent in order to strengthen his NXT roster.
