We're told the booking for Survivor Series has been "total chaos" over the last few days. Vince McMahon was unhappy with how the main event announcement went over on last week's WWE Raw and decided to change things up.

Some of it was blamed on Mick Foley not being over enough in 2012 to carry a main event team as essentially their manager. One of my sources said they wouldn't be surprised if it was Triple H shifting some of the blame on Foley. There was plenty of head scratching as to why WWE thought the original main event would excite people in the first place, especially with Foley not even on the team.

As for CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Ryback for the WWE Championship, I'm told this was penciled in as the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs main event. Apparently the change on Monday was Vince pushing the panic button and bumping up the planned main event for the December pay-per-view.
