TNA Wrestling is in the process of signing deals with more talent now that their domestic TV situation is resolved. A lot of deals expired in October and November and talent had been waiting in limbo until a new domestic TV contract was announced.

We’re told had the deal with Destination America fallen apart, there was “a very real possibility” that TNA could have stayed on Spike TV. This because, according to sources, Dixie Carter was finally coming to the realization that if they couldn’t get a deal done with Discovery, it might finally be time to sell the company to Spike.

WGN America was offering similar money to what Destination America was offering for Impact but WGN wasn’t willing to commit to additional programming like Destination America was. One observer stated that “surviving on the WGN America deal would have been very difficult.”
