Impact Wrestling 2015

TNA Wrestling is pitching Impact to multiple networks to replace Destination America once their deal is up in February 2016. Networks that have spoken with the brand include WGN, MavTV and the Sportsman Channel. There may be one more but we don’t have the name.

The network TNA is zeroing in on is WGN but they’re not offering much money. WGN feels they have all the leverage and let’s not forget, TNA chose Destination America over them a year ago. Now, TNA is coming back and being offered less. The good thing about WGN is that it’s in a lot of homes, which in theory helps with other revenue streams, but it’s unknown how much that will matter given the massive decline in interest.

No matter where Impact ends up, they’re going to have to keep cutting cost because their next domestic TV deal is expected to pay less than what Destination America is currently paying and they weren’t paying that much to begin with.
