The plan has been for Ring of Honor to try and extend the contract of Adam Cole. His deal was supposed to be coming up in December but they’re now claiming due to his previous injury time that he owes them an extra four months and is under contract until the end of April.

The idea was that it would give ROH more time to try and convince him to stay as they know WWE is ready to pounce. Cole was really on the fence about staying or signing with WWE.

But now Cole is furious about ROH’s attempt to tack four months on his deal and their strategy may end up backfiring. Cole is now telling friends he wants out and plans to sign with WWE in May.

There is obviously time for ROH to change his mind but he was seriously thinking about staying before and now he definitely wants to leave. WWE has no problem waiting until May and their interest in him has not changed one bit due to the delay.
