WWE recently reached out again to Karl Anderson and Prince Devitt from New Japan Pro Wrestling. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, neither is interested in signing right now.
We're told the issue has to do with the "terrible reputation" that WWE NXT has amongst the boys. One observer commented, "everyone there is miserable and they hate doing [Bill] DeMott's drills." The complaints have gotten so widespread that guys with solid gigs elsewhere are turning down offers.
The feeling is they might feel differently if they were assured respective roles on the main roster but they don't want to go to the WWE Performance Center for "seasoning" when they know the "misery" that awaits them.
