Vince McMahon has reached out to The Undertaker about doing something at SummerSlam but Undertaker isn’t returning Vince’s phone calls. Undertaker has told friends privately he doesn’t plan to wrestle again and has even admitted to those close to him that Vince asked him to put over Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 32 and he refused to do it and subsequently canceled himself from all future bookings.

Vince is trying to find a way to smooth things over, but so far Undertaker is ignoring him. His current contract only requires him to wrestle once a year to receive his downside and he's already had his match for the year, so there's no point in him officially retiring yet when they'd have to continue to pay him his downside the rest of the year regardless. If he has zero matches in a year, it freezes his contract and tacks an extra year on.
