WWE is staying tight lipped but local officials in the city of Orlando, Florida believe they have Wrestlemania 33 locked up for 2017. Last month it was still pretty close between Orlando and Minneapolis, with WWE trying to leverage the two cities to maximize the tax credits and benefits package given to WWE for choosing the host city.
WWE officials and Orlando city officials recently had a meeting, allowing Orlando to make one final pitch and we’re told Orlando pulled out all the stops and the offer on the table right now is one of the most generous bids WWE has ever received for Wrestlemania.
Orlando continues to seek an arrangement that would guarantee Wrestlemania appearing in Orlando once every decade, although WWE is hesitant to commit to anything beyond 2017.
