There was a lot of talk about Vince McMahonnot allowingCM Punk to escort Chael Sonnen to the octagon for his fight on UFC on Fox 2 last weekend. I'm told McMahon's decision was based on his discontentment with UFC dragging out the release of Brock Lesnar.

While one observer notes many consider this "a pretty petty move," Vince feels that UFC is being petty by dragging out Lesnar's release. My source notes how it's silly because McMahon's cutting off his nose to spite his face by not allowing Punk to get a mention during a major network sports broadcast, especially considering it would have been good promotion for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
