Will Finn Balor Make WrestleMania, Why Naomi Dropped the Title, NXT Callups, and Who Might Make It Into A Championship Match At WrestleMania

Finn Balor

-As previously reported, Finn Balor will be working WWE house shows starting next week. Finn WILL have a spot on card at WrestleMania 33 somewhere but nothing is finalized. As we reported earlier this week, Finn is the backup plan to face Triple H in case Seth Rollins can't get medical clearance in time. Things for Balor will become more clear once Rollins is evaluated again and a time frame for his return becomes more concrete.

-Naomi has a sprained MCL which is why the Smackdown Women's Championship was taken off of her. The problem with an injury like this is it could be anywhere from 3 weeks or 2 months before she receives medical clearance. The chances of her making WrestleMania aren't impossible but WWE didn't want to risk it.

-WWE is already running through a list of NXT call-ups for anywhere between now and immediately after WrestleMania 33. The names that are being seriously considered as of right now are Shinsuke Nakamura, The Revival, and Elias Samson. It's also very possible Asuka gets called up but she is not a sure thing at this point.

-Beth Phoenix is the current plan to be added to the Hall of Fame this coming Monday. As we've reported, on top of being a very worthy Hall of Fame candidate in her own right, WWE wants to build more of a bridge with Edge. They see putting Beth in the Hall of Fame as a way to get do that.

-There is talk of adding Harper to the Randy Orton/Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania, however, there might be too many who are against it. WWE has given themselves the easy option if they decide to by setting up the double elimination from this week during the battle royal. Harper going over AJ Styles would give him an "instant main eventer" feel.
