The Rock WrestleMania 32

- To say Vince McMahon wasn’t happy with the crowd at Raw would be a massive understatement. I spoke to one observer within WWE that just flat out feels they missed their chance to push Roman Reigns, back when they put Batista over in the Royal Rumble. Since then, it’s been an uphill battle and they’re looking at different ways to end the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania 32.

- There was talk about having The Rock do something with The New Day at Sunday’s Wrestlemania 32 pay-per-view.

- I’m told it was Triple H’s decision to have Eva Marie join the Total Divas team. Vince McMahon originally wanted Bayley but Hunter was against it, explaining to Vince it was a Total Divas team and Eva would fit perfect. While Vince likes Eva, he felt she would garner too much heat considering how big of a heel she’s been in NXT. Triple H pointed to Bayley being part of the “wrestling” division and not the Divas. The plan as of now is for Eva to work as a heel on the team or “turn.”

- WWE continues to express interest in talent that have either been associated with New Japan Pro Wrestling or on their radar. They recently signed Michael Nicholls and Shane Veryzer, a tag team NJPW was looking to sign. There are others WWE is interested in including Will Ospreay (currently under NJPW contract), Zack Sabre Jr. and Alipate Fifita (currently under NJPW contract).

- While this is a bit of a “random” tidbit, Shinsuke Nakamura has the largest WWE NXT contract the company has ever offered, surpassing the downside Finn Balor was given to sign a couple of years ago.

- Eric Young is generating WWE interest but we can’t confirm a contract. Bobby Roode is a guy that has said he would certainly listen to what WWE has to say and it’s looking like a prime opportunity for him to sign as well.
