WWE is looking into taking legal action against ProWrestlingTees.com and Brad Maddox for trademark infringement over his name of Mad Braddox. The claim is that it’s confusingly similar to their name. What’s funny though is that WWE’s trademark registration for Brad Maddox hasn't been approved yet (it was published for opposition on 10/13/15), so WWE legal is discussing whether to send a cease & desist now, or wait until their trademark application is fully approved.

They obviously own the intellectual property rights to that name either way, but once the trademark is approved, it gives them a much stronger position.

Maddox, whose real name is Tyler Kluttz, was released from WWE the day before Thanksgiving for using the word “pricks” during a dark promo at the company’s television tapings in Indianapolis, Indiana.
