WWE is hoping to get AJ Lee back in time for Monday in the Bank, however, as we've noted several times, there hasn't been any pressure put on her to return. Right now, she's indicating that she thinks she'll be back in time for the show next month.
We're told there have been some ideas put together internally to try to push for CM Punk to appear at Payback (the pay-per-view before AJ is set to return) in Chicago as a surprise. The situations with CM Punk and AJ Lee are being treated as "totally separate," although some have suggested the only way AJ Lee gets as much leeway as she has been given is if she's romantically involved with CM Punk.
Vince McMahon is the one being far more patient on the Punk issue than Triple H. Vince hopes to have Punk back and re-signed in time for SummerSlam, while Hunter wants something in place before his contract expires in July.
Whatever Punk has planned, if anything, the only thing he's telling people close to him is that he's retired from wrestling and would be interested in looking into acting once his contract expires.
