We’ve reported for years on Vince McMahon and Triple H having disagreements and noted just recently how the return of Shane McMahon complicates things. One of the biggest disagreements between Vince and Triple H has to with NXT. While Vince is happy with the success of NXT, he doesn’t want to lose track of its original purpose, to develop talent for the main roster.

There has been more examples lately of Vince feeling like Triple H is trying to make NXT “too big for its britches.” Hunter has been trying to push through a full series of NXT action figures that would be exclusive to WWE.com and at NXT brand live events. Mattel was open to the idea but had some reservations, worried it would upset some of their traditional retail partners.

According to a source, Triple H sold it as a way to dip their top in the water on whether it’s viable to have an entire line of NXT figures and expand to retain if the test run went well on WWE.com.

Vince stepped in and tried to squash the whole thing and now it doesn't look like it's going to happen. At least not anytime soon.
