Details On A Story WWE Planted About Undertaker & The Streak, Backstage News On Brock Lesnar Getting The Win At Wrestlemania 30, What Vince McMahon Wanted People To Believe
WWE planted a story shortly after Wrestlemania 30 that Undertaker didn't know in advance that he was losing to Brock Lesnar and that it was 100% Vince McMahon's call to end the streak.
As we've reported numerous times, that wasn't the case. In fact, Undertaker didn't want to retire undefeated at Wrestlemania and wanted to give someone the rub after so many had "done the honors" for him. Apparently the places that took the bait are trying to backpedal but any suggestion that Undertaker didn't have creative control over the streak is preposterous.
Vince McMahon wanted it to appear like he was in control and that he was going to to make a "gutsy" call whether Undertaker liked it or not.
Undertaker had been telling people in the months leading up to his bout with Lesnar it could be his last match. Those close to him knew better than to believe that it was Vince's doing.
