Vince McMahon is “very unhappy” with how the cruiserweights are getting over on Raw. He has told the writers that if the ratings for their segments do not improve, he wants to cut back to just one cruiserweight match on Mondays instead of the usual two. The time given for the matches is already being cut down.

205 Live is safe as that is one of Triple H’s babies but Vince has made it clear that he has no problem eliminating the cruiserweights from Raw entirely. The cruiserweights can simply exist as 205 Live exclusive wrestlers if he continues to see a dip in the ratings when they’re on Raw.

Remember, it wasn’t that long ago when there were plans to have a second cruiserweight division on Smackdown if things went well on Raw. That idea is completely out the window and the Raw division is under the microscope — for all the wrong reasons — right now.
