Jim Ross has a new editorial online for FoxSports.com on The Undertaker. In it, JR reveals he believes Undertaker has replaced Andre The Giant as the greatest tenured performer of all time.
Prior to that though, JR shares a funny insider story about their time together in WCW. While he and Jim Cornette thought highly of Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calloway, Ole Anderson, who was the booker, thought he “would never draw a dime.” Below is an excerpt:
Ole Anderson was the booker -- ultimately in charge of the talent roster -- and he felt that Mark "would never draw a dime." Ole and I disagreed on this matter, but I lost the argument as many did to the combative wrestler.
Ole generally had a good feel for who had "it" and who didn't, but it's easy to say 25 years later even Ole Anderson can make a mistake.
