WSB-TV 2 out of Atlanta, Georgia is reporting the FBI is taking a report about an ISIS threat at tomorrow night’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view seriously.
According to the news station, a report from the International Business Times claimed the hacker group Anonymous uncovered information about ISIS attacks in Paris as well as locations in the United States planned for Sunday. That information included the threat of an attack at Survivor Series. Below is an excerpt from IBTIMES.com:
"Anonymous also said the Islamic State group is planning an assault at the WWE Survivor Series event scheduled to take place in the Philips Arena in Atlanta Sunday at 7.30 p.m. EST, as well as attacks at multiple events in Paris.”
While the Atlanta Police Department was having discussions about re-planning the event, statements from both WWE and the FBI indicate Survivor Series will take place as scheduled.
WWE issued the following statement to WrestlingNewsWorld.com:
“WWE Survivor Series is currently scheduled as planned while we investigate the matter with federal, state and local authorities.”
The FBI issued the following statement to WSB-TV 2:
The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe."

Richard Reacts: This situation is under control. The FBI and Atlanta Police Department are working with WWE and Survivor Series will go on as scheduled as of Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2:23 PM EST. If anything changes, we'll be sure and pass it along, however, if you planned on attending, go and have a good time. There is no reason to be afraid or let a threat win out. The authorities are aware of the situation and will take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of everyone.
