Welcome to the 2015 WWE TLC Kickoff!
Renee Young welcomes us to the Kickoff alongside Booker T, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton. Corey invites us to use #WWETLC to join the conversation. Byron predicts that The Roman Empire will begin tonight. Booker calls Byron a sucker. Booker says he had some hoverboard troubles on the way to Boston, but nothing will stop him from being here live.
At the Social Media Lounge, Tom Phillips announces that Alberto Del Rio will join him later on in the Kickoff. Use #AskADR to send in questions.
Back at the panel, Renee brings up the 8-Man Tag Team Elimination Tables Match between the ECW Originals and The Wyatt Family. Renee asks if the ECW Superstars' familiarity with tables gives them an edge. Byron says Team ECW was built for brutality, and picks them to win. Corey says Rhyno has been spending time in NXT to reinvigorate his career, and he's done just that. Booker says this is the future, and Bray Wyatt doesn't care about the past. He's targeted John Cena, The Undertaker, and now he's targeting ECW. Booker says The Wyatt Family is going to beat them ragged.
The conversation shifts to Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship. Byron says Owens is a prize fighter, and he needs a prize. Corey says Owens works well under pressure, and he's succeeded in meeting his goals in the past. Renee says Ambrose has had time to develop a plan, but do you think he has? Booker says Ambrose doesn't strategize, and he was still US Champion for 351 days. Corey picks Owens to win. Byron picks Ambrose. Booker won't call it for sure, but he's leaning Ambrose.
The Triple Threat Tag Team Ladder Match for the Tag Team Championship comes up next. Booker says these competitors are preparing themselves for pain.
Backstage, The Usos parody The New Day's intro. Jey says it took him a long time to bounce back from injury. Jimmy says that tonight is hwen their hard work paid off. The Lucha Dragons show up. Kalisto says it takes more than hard work. The titles will be up in the air, giving the Lucha Dragons the advantage. Sin Cara says for them, the sky is the limit. Jimmy says The Usos aren't afraid of heights or The Lucha Dragons. Some guys come in and give both teams a present from their "secret santas." They open up their New Day merchandise as Jimmy reads the note. The gifts are "consolation prizes" from "tonight's winners," The New Day. Both teams agree on one thing: The New Day is not winning.
Back at the panel, Booker picks The Lucha Dragons to win. Byron picks The New Day to win.
Backstage, Ric Flair is talking to someone on the phone about Charlotte. Paige interrupts and says she's not surprised that he'll be ringside tonight, because it's always all about him, isn't it? Ric says Charlotte has her own aura. Ric has his own glow as a two-time Hall of Famer, but Charlotte has her own as well. Ric asks Paige if she thinks she's the first one to slap her. She reminds Ric of her ex-wife. Paige says Ric has never been there for his daughter, but tonight, she'll give Ric the chance to be there for Charlotte, when she's crying after losing the title. Paige goes for a slap, but Ric blocks it as Paige storms off.
Back at the panel, Byron says he's been impressed with Charlotte's meteoric rise. Charlotte is now focused on how to stay on top, which is why Ric Flair is at ringside. Renee asks if Ric could be a hindrance as she seeks to establish herself. Byron says it's a way of honoring him. Booker says you can't have a better coach in your corner than Ric Flair. Renee asks if Paige is saying anything true about Charlotte. Corey says that, regardless, tonight is time to put up or shut up.
The conversation shifts to the Chairs Match for the United States Championship between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger. A clip from earlier tonight shows Jack Swagger talking about how he and Zeb Colter started a movement to "unite" the WWE Universe. Tonight, he's fighting not only for the WWE Universe, but for Zeb Colter. Renee asks if this means that Swagger and Colter could reunite. Booker asks if they're Republican. Byron says Zeb was out for almost a year, and Swagger dedicated everything to Zeb in that time. Renee asks if The League of Nations will be a factor tonight. Corey would rather have them in their corner than an "old man in a scooter." Booker says Alberto Del Rio wants to prove how good he is on his own tonight. Renee asks if the WWE Universe in Swagger's corner will play a factor tonight.
Michael Cole, alongside Jerry Lawler & JBL, welcomes us to ringside. Sasha Banks comes out first, backed by Team Bad. Once in the ring, they all three grab mics. Naomi says we're 12 days away from Christmas. Sasha says they have a special song for the crowd. They then recite a TLC-themed "12 Days of Christmas," ending with "and Team BAD has unity!" Becky Lynch's music interrupts as she makes her way to the ring.
Sasha Banks w/ Naomi & Tamina vs. Becky Lynch
They lock up before Becky hits a drop toe hold followed by a front headlock. Sasha whips Becky into the corner and rolls through a monkey flip. Becky attempts a quick pin before applying another headlock. Sasha frees herself and lands a shoulder block and a pin attempt. Becky bridges out. Sasha attempts to leap frog a charging Becky but Becky hits her leg, sending her into the mat face-first. Sasha uses the ropes to get to her feet but runs into series of arm drags into an armbar. Becky attempts a roll-up but Sasha grabs the ropes. Becky modifies her roll-up for a two-count. Becky lands another arm drag and applies an armbar as Sasha gets to her feet. Sasha whips Becky into the corner, but Becky jumps over Sasha and applies another armbar. Becky uses the second rope to kick Sasha, now in the corner. Tamina gets up on the apron and Becky knocks her off. Sasha takes advantage, setting up Becky on the second rope and driving her knees into her back.
Back from commercial, Tamina lands a cheap shot from outside. Becky gets up and whips Sasha, who counters out and hits a double chickenwing version of the Banks Statement. Becky fights to her feet, but Sasha wrestles her back down. Becky fights out with a roll-up. Becky drives Sasha into the second turnbuckle before landing a number of strikes, clotheslines, and a heel kick. Becky lands a leg drop but Sasha dodges the next one, landing a chickenwing neckbreaker and attempting a number of pins, showing frustration. Sasha slaps Becky, who fires back with a strike and an exploder suplex, which gets a two-count when Sasha grabs the rope. Sasha gets to her feet but walks into a cross armbreaker which she moves into the Disarm Her. Sasha counters into a roll-up, but Becky reverses back into the Disarm Her. Tamina distracts the referee as Naomi kicks Becky from the apron. Sasha lands the Banks Statement and Becky taps.
Winner: Sasha Banks
Alberto Del Rio is with Tom Phillips in the Social Media Lounge. Del Rio tells Tom to roll his Rs. Tom asks Del Rio why he returned to WWE. Del Rio says this is the major leagues. The next question asks if Del Rio is scared of Swagger. Del Rio says he's biggest, faster, stronger, and better than ever, and better than Swagger. He feels bad for Swagger, because tonight will be like a man fighting a child. The final questions asks why Del Rio joined the League of Nations. Del Rio says the group has everything, and the best wrestlers in the company, and most importantly, they're not Americans. Tom asks about the fate of MexAmerica. Del Rio says all he has to say is that it didn't work because he trusted an American. Del Rio takes off his mic and storms off.
Back at the panel, the conversation moves to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match between Sheamus and Roman Reigns. Booker says Sheamus is a mainstream, top-flight Superstar. He did what he had to do last month. Byron says Survivor Series might have been the best thing for Roman Reigns, because it made him want the title even more. Corey agrees that Sheamus made smart decisions that were best for business. Renee asks if what would happen if Roman, Dean, and The Usos all walked out as champion tonight. Byron says Roman's spirit may make the difference tonight. The League of Nations is shown backstage. Barrett says tonight, they leave an imprint on the WWE landscape. Del Rio will use a steel chair to destroy America. Rusev will crush Ryback. Sheamus will prove they are the one true power. Sheamus says Conor McGregor set a record last night, and it will be a historic night for them as well. He says the League of Nations will endure as the Kickoff goes off the air.
